A hostboard member (Bitsy02) has a siggy pic of Elizabeth in braids. For some reason, I immediately thought of Anne of Green Gables when I saw it. Of course I would love to see her with Anne's red hair, but somehow, this face mold seems more like Anne to me than the classic one does.

Felina Doon,
Your Anne is so beautiful! She turned out really great and looks so much like the way I envision Anne would look.
With regard to the freckles and how you did them, was it hard? I was thinking that if I ever get an Elizabeth doll, I'd love to put freckles on her just to make her more unique and also more of a Today girl because I'm sure that is what she'd be here at our house!
I also wonder what Emily would look like with freckles? She just seems like maybe she should have them!
Thanks again for sharing those terrific pictures!

Anen's eyes are "grey in some lights and green in others" so none of the AGs would really do. My dream is to have an older Gotz doll be Anne. There is one who screamed "Anne" to me when I met her, so now I have to wait until I have more space and then find her twin!

I hope to get a Molly one day to to rewig for my Anne, but I won't pass up a PM Lissie if I find one secondhand. I distinctly remember reading that Anne's eyes are grey-green.

They are grey-green and when the light hits Ane with her Carrot Red hair Molly's eyes are grey-green.
I found the bottle of paint for her freckles - It was acorn brown I used, but Really go with what you feel is good.
The freckles were easy to apply and I know there is a link to how to do it I will have to see if I canb find it.

Felinadoon - I agree with others - your Anne is just exquisite. I'm an Anne of Green Gables fan and would LOVE to help one of my dolls find her true self as Anne! After all that, she's now a modern girl - sigh! At least there is the consolation that dd loves her. You did an awesome job!

I used a Molly for my Anne. The books state her eyes are grey with flashes of green when she is angry. I wouldn't use a Lissie; her eyes are too green-- but that's just me. The wig I used, I'm sorry to say, is no longer available from the place where I got it, which was www.welovedolls.com. The style is called Ruby, and the color is carrot. I wish I had bought several; I only paid $4.50.

ETA: Anne lives in my classroom along with an Addy-turned-modern who wears a red & white cheerleading uniform. I had two girls tell me last week that the dolls freak them out. I said, "Good, then they're staying."

I LOVE the way your Anne looks in your siggy pic. Her freckles look so natural. VERY nice!
Love the wig too!
